When compared to the averages scores for all Iowa high school students, Solon students outperformed their peers in English, Math, Reading, and Science. Additionally, Solon students had a higher Composite score of 23.4 versus the Iowa average of 22.1. The 2012-13 data represents the third consecutive year the Solon Composite score has increased.
ACT has established college readiness benchmarks in the areas of English Composition, Algebra, Social Science and Biology. As indicated in the chart below, Solon had a higher percentage of students meet or exceed the college readiness benchmarks when compared to the Iowa average.
Our students need to be commended for their dedication and hard work. Our parents need to be recognized for supporting their child and helping them in their educational journey. Our faculty needs to be celebrated for providing our students with a quality learning experience.
